All students must have applied or must concurrently apply for admission to Thiel College and complete a FAFSA (financial aid) form when completing an application
for the Marion G. Resch Science Scholarship. Applications will not be accepted unless an admissions application and application for financial aid accompanies
this application or unless the student previously applied for admission to Thiel College and completed a FAFSA form (and designated Thiel College to receive
financial aid information) within the last 9 months. Note that applications for admission to Thiel College are evaluated independently of applications for the Resch
Science Scholarship. Admission to Thiel College does not guarantee that the applying student will receive a scholarship grant. Please complete the entire application.

I understand that I am submitting this application and the required accompanying documents for evaluation by a review committee based at Thiel College. The review
committee will use specific review criteria set forth in the original grant document between Thiel College and the Marion G. Resch Foundation and does not
discriminate based upon race or religion – ½ of scholarship monies each year are provisionally reserved for awards to young women applicants. I also understand that
admission to Thiel College does not guarantee that I will receive scholarship money through the Marion G. Resch Foundation. It is further understood that any
scholarship grants received through the Marion G. Resch Science Scholarship at Thiel College will be packaged by the Office of Financial Aid according to their
standard policies and that funds may only be used to offset out-of-pocket cash payments or student loans related to tuition, and room and board while enrolled at Thiel
College, and may not be used in place of federal or state grants. Scholarship money may not be used for the purchase of books, household items, daily expenses,
transportation, leisure activities or any other items or activities. By signing this application I acknowledge and commit to entering and matriculating within a 4-year
degree program in the major selected above, upon award of a Resch award, at Thiel College and understand that money from the Marion G. Resch Science Scholarship
at Thiel College can only be awarded to students enrolled in the majors listed above, who reside in Mahoning, Trumbull or Columbiana Counties in Ohio, who meet the
financial, residential and academic qualifications of the original grant document between Thiel College and the Marion G. Resch Foundation. Scholarship money will
be denied to any student who switches to a major not covered under this program. I understand that, if awarded, this scholarship will provide up to $5,650 toward my
tuition, room and board at Thiel College for the 2009-2010 school year. I understand that Thiel College will make annual grant requests to continue scholarship funding
throughout my 4-year college program but that funding of future years is not guaranteed. I understand that I must maintain academic standards of the College and that
by being placed on probation or academic suspension I forfeit my right to any award from this scholarship program whether said action be at the end of fall or spring
semester. I certify that the information contained in this document and my entire applications package is true to the best of my knowledge on the date of application.
By signing this application I also grant permission, during review and upon award of scholarship money through the Resch Science Scholarship, for Thiel College to
release information to the executive director of the Marion G. Resch Foundation including my financial aid package details, my grades, GPA, interim grade reports and
any information pertinent to my academic performance, course registration and financial aid.
