Bodysprays are normally placed at the upper back,
middle back, and upper thigh. Always position
bodysprays according to the preferences of the user(s).
Pressure Balancing Loop
If installing bodysprays in a bank of 3 or fewer, a
pressure balancing loop is not necessary.
If installing bodysprays in a bank of 4 or greater, a
pressure balancing loop must be used to keep the
pressure even between the bodysprays.
Rough-in Suggestion:
This installation requires a 1/2
male threaded pipe fitting recessed
1/8 from the surface of the
finished wall. The plumber should
install a properly anchored 1/2
female pipe fitting (i.e. a drop-ear
ell) recessed into the wall, into which
a brass pipe nipple of proper length
can be fitted once the finished wall
is complete.
Installation Instructions
Install 1/2 male supply pipe, recessed 1/8 from surface of
finished wall. Flush of all debris.
Loosen set screw on bottom of bodyspray using 3 mm Hex
wrench (included). Remove the mounting bracket from the
bodyspray.
Screw mounting bracket onto supply pipe using 12 mm Hex
wrench. Do not use a pipe wrench or pliers! Overtightening
may crack the mounting bracket and cause leaking behind the
wall.
Seal the penetration through the wall with a compatible non-
shrinking waterproof sealer..
Slide on metal trim ring and white plastic spring over mounting
bracket. Press bodyspray over mounting bracket firmly, so that
the entire assembly is flush against wall. Tighten set screw.
Apply pressure and check for proper operation.
User Instructions:
Pivot the Aktiva bodyspray using the lever.
Change the spray mode by turning the knurled ring.
